Diploma thesis: Automatic image-based 3D head modeling

Description

3D Head Modeling System is software for automatic 3D head creation from front and profile photograph. After loading input images, the facial features are automaticaly detected. User can manually adjust detected positions to reach better precision. Finally the 3D head model is reconstructed from input images.

Awards

This work won the price for the 2nd best presentation on the CESCG 2010 conference,
It was awarded with the winner price in Computer Graphics category in Student Scientific Conference in Bratislava and it was awarded with a special prize for an excellent work from Slovak Society for Computer Science.
This work won the 1st place in category Applied Informatics on the Czechoslovak student research conference ŠVOČ 2010 in Ostrava.
Diploma thesis was awarded by Comenius University rektor's price.
